Amazon says the new and improved Alexa revealed on Wednesday, Alexa+, is powered by a “unnamed” model that always uses the “best” AI model for any given work.
On stage at a press event in New York, Amazon VP Daniel Rausch said that Alexa+ draws on the background, the Amazon cloud platform designed to allow organisms to experiment with AI genetic models to feed its various potential .
Among the models used by Alexa+ is Amazon Nova, the Amazon AI genetic models, as well as models by Amazon’s close associate and associate, anthropogenic.
This “model of unnamed” approach allows what can be considered “agencies” capabilities. Alexa+ utilizes a new system called “experts” for specific tasks, Amazon says. Experts orchestrate and perform Amazon’s first -party services as well as services from third parties (eg Suno AI music tools).
Rausch said the first day, Alexa+ will work with “tens of thousands” devices and services.
Some of these services include news services. Amazon says it works with publications such as Time, Reuters and Associated Press to provide information on answers related to current events, financial market movements and much more.
This only scratches the surface of what Alexa+can do. According to Rausch, Alexa+ can navigate to websites to complete the tasks on behalf of the user. For example, he can find a professional to repair a broken oven by looking for the web and even contacting the repair store autonomously.
“Alexa takes a few minutes to navigate to a website [and it] Returns and tells me it’s over, “Rausch told the stage.” I will receive a notice on my phone that informs me [when Alexa is finished.]’
Experts also allow Alexa+ to coordinate multiple services at the same time, Rausch said, such as reservation for dinner via OPENTABLE, then keep an Uber in the restaurant and sending messages to plans for a contact. Developers will be able to use this functionality through a new SDK, Alexa Ai Multi-AGent SDK, soon starting in the preview.
