Amazon has upgraded The AI video model, Nova Reel, with the ability to produce video up to two minutes in length.
Nova Reel, announced in December 2024, was Amazon’s first invasion of genetic video. It races with models from Openai, Google and others in what is quickly becoming a busy market.
The last role Nova, Nova Reel 1.1, can create a “Multi-Shot” video in “consistent style” in all shots, explained AWS Developer Advocate Elizabeth Fuentes in a blog position. Users can give up to 4,000 characters to create up to a two -minute video consisting of six -second shots.
Nova Reel 1.1 also introduces a new feature called “Multishot Manual”. In this feature, the model may mention an image with a prompt to provide more control of the composition of a shot. According to the Fuentes, given the image 1280 x 720 and the 512-maximum-chara, the multishot manual can create videos containing up to 20 shots.
Nova Reel is available only through AWS platforms and services, including Bedrock, Ai Dev Suite of Amazon and customers must request access. As with most AI genetic systems, there are questions about whether the cylinder was developed using ethical sound methods.
Video creation models are trained in a huge number of video examples to “learn” the standards in these videos to create new clips. Some companies train models in copyright -protected videos without receiving permission from owners or creators and, when these models “overturn” copyright, exposes users of models to IP lawsuits.
Amazon has not revealed the source of Reel’s training data, nor has it provided an explicit way for the creators who may supply the models of the models with their videos to leave. However, the company said it would protect AWS customers who are accused of violating copyright by the media produced by its models, according to the compensation policy.
Updated 4:57 pm Pacific: A previous version of this article implied that developers should request special access from Amazon to use Nova Reel. This is incorrect. While developers must request access, AWS automatically approves these requests. Sorry for the error.
