Amazon’s autonomous vehicles company, Zoox, opened its first full production facility, expecting it will one day build 10,000 robbery per year.
The installation marks the last step in the evolution of zoox from the development phase. The company is currently testing vehicles in multiple US cities and offers rides to timely access to Las Vegas. This early overthrow program will extend to San Francisco later this year and Zoox plans to launch paid public walks in Las Vegas this year.
The 220,000 -square -foot plant is located in Hayward, California, near the headquarters of Zox’s Foster City. This is the company’s second production unit in the Bay area, adding to the convention warehouse in nearby Fremont.
Zoox reports that the new plant will be used for integration, assembly, storage and hardware and hardware tests.
