In the latest offer by Silicon Valley’s Defense Company to claim its own solution for the Army’s Mixed Reality ambitions, and Anduril Industries on Monday presented “Eagleeye”, a computer system with a helmet that seeks to turn the soldiers into AI-Augmened Warfighters.
The launch is remarkable as the initiative is led by the co -founder of Anduri Palmer Lucyyy, who previously started the pioneering company VR, Oculus, acquired by Meta.
Anduril describes Eagleeye as a articulated “family family” built at the top of the grid software that puts command and control tools, sensor feed and AIs directly in a soldiers field of view.
The company claims that the system can incorporate live video flows. It has back and side sensors to alert operators to threats. And they can watch teammates in real time. Eagleeye variants include helmet, back and glasses.
The launch comes as the US military seems to expand the team of mixed reality suppliers. It used the integrated Microsoft (IVAS) visual increase system, a $ 22 billion program granted in 2018, but after years of issues, the army gave control of the contract to Anduril in February.
Then, in September, Anduril won the $ 159 million award for the original a new mixed reality system for soldiers, part of a wider soldier’s shipping command. Anduril said the award was “the greatest effort of this kind” to equip every soldier with superhuman perception and decision -making capabilities. “
Earlier this year, Anduril also announced a collaboration with META to develop extensive reality (XR) devices for the army, signaling an unexpected reunification between Luckey and his former employer.

“I am glad to work with Meta once again,” Lucayyya said in a blog position. “My mission is for a long time to turn warriors into technologies and the products we build with meta are doing just that.”
Eagleeye has a long story: the idea first appeared on Anduril’s first deck plan, before investors persuaded the starting team to focus on software such as Lattice.
“The transition to toe-to-toe with Microsoft and Magic Leap would be frustrating for Windmill-Tilting driven by magical thought”, Luckey said in a post in x In February. “Everything is different now. The world is ready, just like Anduril.”
