As AI technology arrives in business, Apple releases new tools that will give business more detailed control where and how their employees can use artificial intelligence. With the release of Apple software updates arrived in September, the technological giant adds another option for Enterprise customers: the ability to formulate the use of a business version of the Openai Chatgpt.

Apple has already seen the demand for Chatgpt for businesswhich Openai now says over 5 million business customers. These companies use AI service to connect with their own internal data when using AI agents.

However, what is interesting in how Apple’s integration with Chatgpt for Enterprise has been structured is that it is not difficult to limit or allow Chatgpt itself.

Instead, Apple Support documents show that IT managers will be able to limit or allow any “external” artificial intelligence provider, not just OpenAI technology. This leaves the door open for Apple to forge other deals with large AI players used in the business environment, without having to rebuild things at the protocol level.

As Apple has released new AI features aimed at end users of its devices – such as writing tools or visual intelligence, for example – it is also started ways for IT departments to control access to these features.

While the company fully believes in its private cloud calculation architecture, it knows that it may take time for companies to agree to make changes to sensitive systems and data. That is why it lets businesses decide whether the data should be processed in the cloud or device, for example.

In addition to telling businesses to choose and choose which AI features to activate, this arrangement allows businesses to decide whether the AI requests of employees can go to the Chatgpt cloud service, even when the business does not have its own business agreement with Openai. (Chatgpt, you will remember, has been incorporated into Apple Intelligence throughout Apple’s platform to handle AI requests that Apple cloud can never go from Apple cloud to Chatgpt directly – is either/or – it is easier to disable Chatgpt setting.)

While AI updates are the focus of business -related updates, Apple is also releasing other new features to its largest customers.

It will launch an API for the Apple Business Manager service, which will allow the service to be integrated into other IT tools, such as MDM products, stock management services or aid offices, among others. It is also debut new tools for managing device to facilitate device immigration to a different management service – which often appears in mergers and acquisition scenarios when a new company takes on appliances and assets of employees.

Apple’s return to service solution, which allows the devices quickly wiped and prepare for the next user, will now offer the option to leave all applications installed, save time and bandwidth, as administrators and users will not need to re -establish them. In addition, the return to the service will be available for the Vision Pro for the first time.

In communal Macs, an authorized visitors mode allow employees to connect to account credentials by their ID provider, then the data (but not applications) are deleted during disconnection. Another option allows businesses to add NFC readers to Macs so that employees can simply press their watch or phone to connect.

These tools will also be released in September as part of Apple’s broader software updates on iPhone, iPad, Mac and much more.
