Meta is Collaboration with Midjourney To grant AI’s AI AI technology, AI’s head of AI Alexandr Wang announced Friday in a position on topics. Wang says Meta’s research teams will work with Midjourney to bring his technology to future models and AI products.
“To ensure that Meta is able to offer the best possible products for humans, he will need to take an approach to all opposing,” Wang said. “This means world -class talent, ambitious road map and collaboration with the best players in the whole industry.”
Midjourney’s partnership could help META develop products that compete with AI’s top image and video models, such as Openai’s Sora, Black Forest Lab flow and Google’s VEO. Last year, Meta put its own AI images tool, imagine, in many of its products, including Facebook, Instagram and Messenger. Meta also features a generation of AI video tool, Movie Gen, allowing users to make videos of prompts.
The licensing deal with the latest Midjourney Marks Meta agreement to move on to the AI race. Earlier this year, Managing Director Mark Zuckerberg went to a talent AI recruitment, offering some researchers worth more than $ 100 million. The social media giant also invested $ 14 billion on AI scale, and acquired AI voice boot plays AI.
Meta held talks with many other top AI laboratories on other acquisitions, and Zuckerberg even spoke with Elon Musk about his inclusion in the $ 97 billion acquisition (Meta, eventually did not participate in the offer and Openai refused Musk’s offer).
While the terms of Meta’s agreement with Midjourney remain unknown, the chief executive of the start, David Holz, told a Post in x that his company remains independent without investors. Midjourney is one of the few top AI models who has never received external funding. At one point Meta spoke with Midjourney By acquiring the bootaccording to the media.
Midjourney was founded in 2022 and quickly became a leader in the AI image area for his realistic, unique style. By 2023, the start was reportedly reported to set up the rhythm $ 200 million in revenue. Starting sells subscriptions starting at $ 10 per month. It offers more expensive levels, which offer more generations of AI images, costing up to $ 120 a month. In June, the boot released the first AI video model, V1.
