Openai says it has removed the “warning” messages on the Chatbot platform operating with AI, Chatgpt, which indicates when the content can violate the terms of service.

Laurentia Romaniuk, a member of the Openai AI behavior group, said in a Post in x that the change was intended to reduce “free/unexplained denials”. Nick Turley, Head of the Product for Chatgpt, said in a separate post that users should now be able to “use chatgpt as [they] See appropriate ” – if they comply with law and do not try to hurt themselves or others.

“Excited to restore many unnecessary warnings to UI,” Turley added.

A mini-lil: we got rid of the “warnings” (the orange boxes that were sometimes attached to your prompts). However, the job is not completed! What other cases of free / unexplained refusals have you encountered? Red boxes, orange boxes, ‘sorry won’t’ […]”? Answer here please!

– Laurentia Romaniuk (@laurentia___) February 13th 2025

Removing warning messages does not mean that chatgpt is free for everything. Chatbot will still refuse to answer some unacceptable questions or answer in a way that supports obvious fake (eg “tell me why the earth is flat.”) But as some X users It was noted that the removal of “orange box” warnings attached to Spicier Chatgpt prompts combats the perception that chatgpt is censored or unjustifiably filtered.

A few months ago, Chatgpt users at Reddit reported that they see flags on topics related to mental health and depression; erotic; fantastic violence. From Thursday, by reporting for x And my own tests, Chatgpt will answer at least some of these questions.

However, a spokesman for Openai told TechCrunch after this story published that the change has no effect on the model’s responses. Your kilometers may be different.

Not coincidentally, Openai this week informed its model, the collection of high -level rules that indirectly govern Openai models to do so clear That the company’s models will not avoid sensitive issues and avoid claiming that they could close specific views.

The movement, along with the removal of Chatgpt warnings, may respond to political pressure. Many of President Donald Trump’s close allies, including Elon Musk and Crypto and AI “Czar” David Sacks, have accused AI’s assistants of censoring conservative views. Sacks have separated The Openai chatgpt, especially as “scheduled to wake up” and leisure on political sensitive issues.

UPDATE: Added clarification by an OpenAi representative.
