Increasing the acquisitions of the Data Company continued on Monday with the purchase of Snowflake’s crisp data.

The Cloud Data Platform Snowflake announced its intention to acquire Crisp dataA Postgres database partner late in the afternoon. A source familiar with the issue estimates that the deal is worth about $ 250 million.

The terms were not disclosed. Snowflake refused to comment on the assessment of the agreement.

It is the last one in a series of technological giants buying newly formed companies to enhance the underlying databases that authorize AI agents. Last week, Salesforce has acquired decades, Informatica to enhance data management tools for AI agents. A few weeks ago, the Act acquired the numbers station to give its customers access to AI agents who could run over structured data. And earlier this month, Servicenow acquired data.world with AI agents in mind.

Criminal data gives companies the tools they need to build with Postgres, an open source management system and objective database management that is popular with developers and works well with the SQL database language. The 13 -year -old is working with customers such as UPS, SAS and Moneytree, among other things, in addition to public sector organizations, such as the US Ministry of Homeland.

The acquisition will give the snowflake the underlying technology needed to start the Postgres snowflake, a postgresql database for its customers and their partners, such as Blue Yonder and Landingai. This agreement also further reinforces Snowflake’s database at the age of AI agents.

This technology will be available in private preview soon.

“Our vision is to deliver the most reliable and integrated data and AI platform to our customers,” said Vivek Raghunathan, Engineering’s SVP on Snowflake, in a press release provided at TechCrunch. “Today’s announcement of the proposed acquisition of crisp data represents another reason why snowflake is the final destination for all business data and AI needs.

In 2024, Snowflake started new links For snowflake customers in Postgresql and MySQL. Now is the offer. Snowflake also acquired Datavolo Data Management Company last year.
