Meta is launching a new program for providing incentives for newly formed businesses to adopt Llama AI models.
The program, Llama for newly established businessesIt provides “immediate support” from Meta’s Llama team, as well as funding in some cases. Any US -based company has incorporated less than $ 10 million in funding, has at least one staff programmer and creates AI genetic applications is eligible to apply until the deadline of May 30.
“Members can receive up to $ 6,000 a month for up to six months to help them compensate for the cost of manufacturing and strengthening AI genetic solutions,” Meta writes in a blog. “Our experts will work closely with them to start and explore the advanced cases of Llama that could benefit their newly established businesses.”
The launch of the Llama boot program comes as a meta tries to cement its lead in the highly competitive open model. While Tech Giant’s Llama models have gathered more than a billion shooting to date, opponents such as Deepseek, Google and Alibaba’s Qwen threaten to UPOD Meta’s efforts to establish an extensive ecosystem model.
Not helping the issues, the Lama has suffered several failures in recent months.
Wall Street Magazine last week referenced Meta has delayed the development of an AI model, Llama 4 Behemoth, above the model that submits lower than basic reference indicators. In April, Meta had to prevent claims to deceive a popular AI Crowdsourced, LM Arena. The company used a version of the Llama 4 Maverick model “Optimized for the Chat” to achieve a high score at LM Arena, but released a different version of Maverick publicly.
Meta has huge ambitions for Llama – and the wider AI genetic portfolio. Last yearThe company made a prediction that AI’s genetic products would dug $ 2 billion to $ 3 billion in revenue in 2025 and between $ 460 billion and $ 1.4 trillion by 2035.
Meta has revenue exchange agreements with some companies that host Llama models. The company recently launched an API to adjust Llama’s releases. And Meta Ai, the AI assistant of the company powered by Llama, can eventually present ads and offer subscription with additional features, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said During the company’s Q1 profits call.
These products have been proven costly for construction. In 2024Meta’s “Genai” budget was over $ 900 million, and this year could exceed $ 1 billion. This does not include the infrastructure required for the execution and training of models. Meta has previously said that it plans to spend $ 60 billion to $ 80 billion on capital spending in 2025, mainly in new data centers.
