Meta is starting to try a new feature on issues that allows users to follow the same creators on the X, the company confirmed to TechCrunch.
“We are currently trying a way to find and follow creators from other platforms on topics, making it easier to connect with people and conversations that matter,” Meta Alec Booker spokesman said in an online statement.
In recent years, many creators have left X for competitive platforms, such as yarn and bluesky, but have lost their huge sequences in the process. In the meantime, some users have been reported that they have struggled to create the same communities that had been promoted for years to X for years. This feature aims to facilitate immigration for creators and users who have just been installed on issues.
The feature, today in beta tests, was first staining by security researcher and former Meta employee Jane Manchun Wong.
When opening mobile yarn on Wednesday, some users, including TechCrunch, have shown a pop-up saying they can now “find popular creators from X.” Pop-up transfers users to Beta mode, which provides instructions on how to take the following list from X and introduce it to issues.
It is not clear how Meta fits the creators on the X platform on their profiles on topics. Meta says the product will work for the “popular creators”, but perhaps not everyone you follow on X. Meta did not immediately respond to TechCrunch’s request for comments on the subject.
Taking this, such characteristics help the issues become a steady alternative to X, with a steady rate of growth. In January, Meta said the yarn had more than 320 million monthly active users (MAUs), from 300 million MAUS in December. While each company counts the Maus differently, it seems that the issues are now on a comparable scale with X.
