The CEO of Twitch Dan Clancy published An open letter on Thursday describing the platform’s platform for 2025, which include upcoming functions, mobile phone experience updates, and a significant change in revenue creation policy.
It is noteworthy that Clancy has revealed that Twitch opens subscriptions and “bits”, the virtual items that viewers buy to make movies, to “most” creators, no matter how many fans they have.
Change aims at the Republic of Twitch’s revenue process, allowing a wider range of creators to win as they engage in their audience. Previously, only Twitch’s subsidiaries and partners had access to subscriptions and bits and had to meet specific criteria to meet the conditions. This included at least 50 fans, maintaining an average of three simultaneous spectators per stream and achieving at least eight hours of accumulated flow time per week.
The company also introduces a new option that “will allow all streamers to use their earnings on Twitch markets,” Clancy added but does not provide specific details.
In addition to this significant shift in political revenue, Clancy describes further further initiatives for Twitch in 2025.
The new feature, called “Shared Hype Trains”, allows streamers to participate in electricity together or joint conversation to come together on a train campaign train where members can rally to support their favorite streamers. The creators will also be able to start and manage shared conversations directly from the mobile app.
Another way in which Twitch plans to enhance revenue opportunities for streamers is to introduce an easier way for creators to express interest in cooperation with brands. In addition, the platform is launching a new tool to help brands discover new channels to work together.
The company also plans to expand its advertising offers and explore options that allow streamers to provide discounts and promotions during special events.
In terms of mobile screening experience, Twitch will soon offer both local and vertical video options. The company also introduces a new feature that allows viewers to react to specific moments in a stream using bits.

In addition, the ability to create custom Power-ups is on the way. Power-ups are results that can be used during currents, such as adding a colorful contour around a message or sending an emote’s larger version.
The company also introduces clip updates, with the aim of making the process of processing smoother and providing a new feature to view real -time moments. There will also be more automated methods to identify the highlights in a stream.
These updates follow Twitch’s recent announcement of a significant change in content storage policy. Starting on April 19, the platform will impose a 100 -hour ceiling to store the main and uploaded content, limiting how much content users can maintain on their channels.
