Whatsapp has announced A series of new updates in conversations, calls and channels designed to enhance the messaging and calling experience for users as it continues to compete with popular services such as Telegram and Discord.
Among the most notable additions is an “electronic” indicator that appears at the top of a group conversation to show you how many people are today for conversation.
Another new group conversation feature will allow you to highlight some notifications, as you can now use a recent added “notice of” and select “Highlights” to limit the notifications for @Menctions, answers and messages from stored contacts or “all” to receive all notifications.
Another feature offers the option to scan and send documents to an iPhone. To access it, users select a “scan document” from the attachment options, and then follow the steps to scan, cultivate and save the document.
Also, iPhone users can now set WhatsApp as a default messaging and calling app. In addition, iPhone users can now pinch to magnify during the call videos.
In terms of video calls, WhatsApp reports that it is upgrading its technology to make video calls more reliable and higher quality, which should lead to reduced calls and video freezing. Improved app width detection should also allow more HD quality video calls.
While WhatsApp has allowed users to create events in group talks for some time now, it is now unraveling the ability to create an event in 1: 1 conversations. In addition, event feature is updated with RSVP as “perhaps”, invite one plus one, add a date and expiration time and the PIN times.
In addition, you can now add someone to a continuing 1: 1 call from a conversation thread by pressing the call icon to the top of your screen and then selecting “Add to the Call”.
The channels also receive three updates, as administrators can now record and share short videos with fans and share unique QR codes that are directly connected to their channel. In addition, you can now get a written summary of voice messages from the channels to get to speed when you are on the go and you cannot read individual messages.
