Following warnings that Paramount content was going to disappear from Google YouTube TV’s Pay TV service, companies announced late on Saturday that they had reached an agreement that prevents any management disorder.
These announcements did not include much details on the deal, but a statement by a Paramount spokesman said it included “an extensive flow relationship”. So not only YouTube’s Primetime channels will continue to offer streaming Paramount+ services, with showtime and Bet+ as additives, but Google also gets “the right to do Paramount+ available to YouTube TV qualifiers”.
YouTube TV is not foreign to high profile contract differences with media companies, including Disney. The company had warned in a previous post on the blog that all Paramount content, including CBS and CBS Sports, would disappear from YouTube television on February 13. There was an extension of a short -term deadline when companies seemed to be close to an agreement.
