Reddit announced on Thursday that it is introducing a set of new tools to make it easier for users to participate in its platform. The features are designed to help users find communities, to ensure that their positions do not violate rules and to understand how to contribute to the entire social network.
Combined, the features are intended to enhance the Redditor publishing experience, making it easier to contribute the posts, especially for younger users who may not understand how Reddit works or where to publish.
For beginners, the company says it will start to help users find the right community for their audience with “community proposals”.
If a user has created a post and is not sure which community will publish it, a “pick a community” menu will now provide relevant subreddit recommendations based on the content of the post. This, believes Reddit, will make it easier for users to connect with the right audience when creating a new post.
Another new “Post Check” feature will help users to determine if their post can violate any of the Subreddit rules so they can update it before publishing. The idea behind this feature is to help users who may otherwise have accidentally broken rules and have been removed.
Users can access the tool by clicking the Wand icon in the lower right corner of the post composer. After that, the tool will highlight any content that may have broken a rule.

Reddit also launches a tool that will allow users to redefine the content removed in a different subreddit. When a user post is removed due to Community rules, they will see a new prompt under this position that will help them repeat the content in a proposed alternative subreddit.
In addition, when users choose a community to publish, but do not meet the criteria of the community, Reddit will now offer recommendations on how they can contribute to this community. For example, Reddit may notify you that you cannot contribute to a community because you do not meet the minimum criteria for karma (an online reputation rating) and that you have to earn more by posting or commenting on Reddit.

In addition, Reddit improved the “post insights” function to allow users to see how well their positions are doing. Now, you can see the dates associated with your views, upvotes, shares and much more.
With this information, Reddit users will be able to understand what is doing well to help improve their approach to future positions.
All new features are available today on mobile and desktop users worldwide, the company says.
