Apple’s self -care repair program extends to iPad, to the technological giant announced Wednesday. The program will give the ipad owners the tools they need to repair their devices at home. They can access repair manuals, genuine Apple parts, Apple diagnostic sessions, tools and rents.
Starting on Thursday, users with iPad Air (M2 and later), iPad Pro (M4), iPad Mini (A17 Pro) and iPad (A16) can order repair kits and accessories, including screens, batteries, cameras and external charging ports.
“In Apple, our goal is to create the largest products in the world that last as long as possible,” said Brian Naumann, AppleCare’s Applecare Vice President. “With today’s announcement, we are excited to expand our repair services to more customers, allowing them to further extend the lives of their products – all without atoming safety, security or privacy.”
Started in 2022, the Self Service Repair allows consumers to make their own home repairs if they are comfortable to access it with the same manuals used at the Apple Store sites and Apple service providers.
Apple says the program now supports 65 Apple products, including recently released iPhone 16E, MacBook Air and Mac Studio. The company shared that Canada would soon become the 34th country where Apple offers self -service repair.
Apple also revealed more details about the genuine accessory distribution program, which allows independent mobile repair professionals to order Apple spare parts and accessories. These components are available through third -party distributors, such as mobileSentrix in the US, as well as mobileSentrix and mobileparts.shop in Europe. The genuine accessory distributor offers many parts of Apple for iPhone repairs, including screens, batteries and charging doors, with iPad components coming tomorrow.
