The Chatgpt mobile app is evolving in revenue.

Since the start of May 2023, the application of Chatgpt for iOS and Android devices has reached $ 2 billion in global consumer spending, according to new analysis of the app Intelligence Provider Competence. This number is about 30x. Combined costs for the life of Chatgpt opponents on mobile phones, including Claude, Copilot and Grok, the analysis shows.

So far, the Chatgpt mobile app has won $ 1.35 billion, increased by 673% annually from the $ 174 million it made during the same period (January-July) in 2024, according to data. On average, the application creates about $ 193 million a month, from $ 25 million last year.

This is significantly higher – or about 53 times higher – than Chatgpt’s next closest competitor, Grok, who made about $ 25.6 million this year. Grok’s average monthly consumer costs are estimated at $ 3.6 million, or 1.9% of chatgpt.

These data indicate that other consumer chatbots still have a way of going on Chatgpt’s dominance on mobile devices, even if the numbers do not provide a complete picture of the total revenue of AI companies. Consumers, groups and businesses can also register with AI Plans on the Internet and companies create revenue in other ways, as well as through their APIs.

On the contrary, these new data offers a window into the traction of applications with consumers, who discover and pay for these AI assistants through mobile app stores.

It is also worth noting that when Xai’s Grok started in November 2023 (after Chatgpt), Grok did not initially had autonomous iOS or Android applications. Instead, users interact with AI Chatbot via the X platform. Grok was only available on mobile devices through its own iOS application early January 2025 and it was Google Play From March 4.

Still, the worldwide costs of Chatgpt’s Lifetime per download is $ 2.91, compared to Claude’s $ 2.55, Grok’s $ 0.75 and $ 0.28, which were found.

In the US, the costs of Chatgpt per download to date are even higher at $ 10, leading the market to calculate 38% of app revenue to date. Germany is the second largest market, accounting for 5.3% of Chatgpt’s total costs.

The Chatgpt driver can also be observed in terms of shooting. To date, the application has been installed about 690 million times worldwide, compared to Grok’s 39.5 million. (This puts the recent complaints by X Elon Musk owner about the alleged favorable of the Chatgpt App Store in its top charts in a better context.)

Chatgpt’s average monthly downloads worldwide amount to about 45 million, up 180% from about 16 million in January to July 2024.

In 2025 so far, the application of Chatgpt has been received 318 million times, or 2.8 times more than the 113 million he saw during the same period last year. However, with the number of installations, India is the top market, representing 13.7% of life shootings, compared to second place, the US, which represented 10.3% of all downloads.
