Instagram has begun to allow creators to connect multiple wheels to a row, the post-that belongs to a social network to TechCrunch exclusively. The new feature, already available in Tiktok, makes it easy for viewers to follow and discover the relevant content.
Now, if a creator tells a story in a series of videos and watching, they can all connect them together so that viewers do not have to move or look for different places. For example, creators often tell fans to “return for part 2” or check back for updates. With this new feature, creators can organize related wheels so that viewers can easily follow.
While the new feature is ideal for connecting different parts of an epic, it could also be used to collect similar videos. For example, if a creator makes a row where they bake a beam of fall recipes, they can now group them all together so that they are easier to find.
Creators can connect the rollers together when adding captions or by pressing the overflow menu to previously shared wheels. Since a creator connects the rollers together in a row, users will be able to navigate to the next cylinder using a new button located on the lower left of the cylinder.
Instagram reports that the new feature has been particularly requested and that it would allow the richest narrative while maintaining the public to deal more, which could lead to increased surveillance time. The social network says it could also help to turn casual viewers into fans.
While the new feature is not a huge change, it is a welcome addition to both creators and viewers, as it facilitates finding and sequence along with content on the platform.
