Following the long -awaited flow of flow without loss of subscribers, Spotify also upgrades its service for free users. On Monday, the company announced that free users worldwide will now be able to search and play any song they want or play a song shared by a friend or artist who follow in social media.

The company invites the new features “Pick & Play”, “Search & Play” and “Share & Play”, respectively. With the first, free users can hit the game in the Spotify app to choose and play any song they want or can even look for a particular song and play it.

The “Share & Play” feature could encourage free users to open Spotify when they meet music in the social media. For example, Instagram allows users to share a Spotify piece in sound stories and allows users to share music on Instagram notes.

Previously, free users could mix songs with limited omissions on mobile devices.

Spotify says new features will be released worldwide to free users, but there will still be some restrictions that Premium users will not face.

When reached for clarification, the company told TechCrunch that users for free mobile experience will have a “order time” distribution, and when they reach this daily limit, they will be limited to a limited number of omissions per hour. Spotify did not share what is this time limit, but noted that Premium users would not have these restrictions.

In recent months, Spotify’s advertising operation has been struggling, with Managing Director Daniel EK telling investors that the company is “moving too late” on this front. Streamer wants advertising revenue to make up 20% of its total revenue but has increased only to 11% from June. With the addition of new free functions, Spotify could enhance the involvement between the free users base, which will then be exposed to more ads.

Spotify says other features, such as the support of lossless; AI playlists; MixtureThey will only remain bids for premiums, while others such as newly established messages and personalized reproduction list available to world users will cover both free and paid experiences as they were before.

Free users of the company are today the largest part of its users. Of the 696 million active Spotify users in the latest quarter, 433 million were free, supported by customers ads. In addition, there were 276 million premium subscribers in the quarter.

Was updated after publication with more information on the limitations affecting free users.
