Robert Falck, the founder of Einride electric and autonomous truck start, resigns the role of CEO as the company works to scale its technology, raising more funds and exploring the IPO.
Falck will go to the role of the executive chairman of the Board of Directors where he will focus on Einride’s long -term strategy.
Einride’s CFO, Roozbeh Charli, will immediately assume the role of Managing Director. Said the company to a statement That Charli has helped to build Einride’s operational infrastructure and commercial impulse throughout Europe and North America over the last five years.
Falck founded Einride, his seventh company, in 2016 with a mission to transform the carbon truck truck industry. His background is different. In a previous life, he set up a starting list of the nightclub visitors and also served as the director of the Volvo Gto Powertrain.
Falck spoke to TechCrunch about his goals for Einride to disrupt the freight industry with electric trucks, then with electric autonomous lobes, which are made with the steering wheel or pedal for self-leading.
“After almost a decade of construction as CEO, it’s time to shift my focus to the point where I can create the longest -term value,” Falck said in a statement. “As an executive president, I will focus on the company’s overall strategy, including ensuring that the Einride can be made public when we find time is right.”
Charli said he intends to further from Falck’s mission and help the company scale be responsible beyond its current market. The company currently has one of the largest fleet of heavy duty trucks in Europe, North America and the Middle East, served by companies such as Pepsico, Carlsberg Sweden, DP World and much more.
Einride has raised $ 654.26 million to date per Pitchbook. The company recently publicly announced the $ 500 million tour in 2022. In an October conversation with TechCrunch, Falck said the company should increase more traffic funds – another $ 100 million would put it on a good way to go ahead.
He also noted that Einride rang about $ 5 billion in conventional revenue and was running around $ 50 million annual repetitive revenue for 2024.
