Waymo’s ever -expanding ambitions have spread to the corporate world.
The alphabet-owned vehicle self-guiding unit launched “Waymo for Business”, a new service designed for companies to set up accounts so that their employees can access robbery in cities such as Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco.
Waymo announced Wednesday in a blog Invites organizations to register for Waymo for business. The new service will allow businesses to aggravate their employees’ walks or buy bulk promotional codes, which can be delivered to customers, customers or employees. Waymo for business walks will cost the same as its regular service.
One of Waymo’s first customers is Carvana, the Phoenix -based car market.
While riders are already using Waymo’s robe to move to work, this is the company’s first coordinated commercial effort to target companies and other organizations. Waymo said almost one in six of his local riders in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix rely on Waymo to move to work or at school.
Today, users open the Waymo app (or in some cities like Austin, Uber App) to greet a ride. This process will not change for employees whose companies are registered with Waymo for businesses. What is changing are the control companies that can exercise the service.
Through Waymo for business services, companies have access to a business portal that gives organizations to control drivers. Corporate customers can dictate the geographical area in which their employees use robbery, determine picking and decision -making sites, monitor the driving activity and monitor their budget.

Waymo said it plans to bring its new business service to other cities such as Washington, DC and Miami, as soon as it launches commercial businesses in these markets.
Waymo has accelerated businesses for the past 18 months, making the dominant robot service provider in the United States. The company has expanded its commercial service from Phoenix to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin and Atlanta. More cities are scheduled for 2026.
But it also seeks other means to attract customers beyond the extension of the geographical footprint. Waymo has gained access to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, San Jose Mineta International Airport and soon at San Francisco Airport, unlocking a critical service that competes directly with Uber and Lyft. She has also collaborated with Public Transit Services VIA, and even opened her romance to adolescents (with a parent account).
