Praxis Labs, a learning development platform, announced its acquisition on Thursday for a non -announced amount from Business Leadership and Coach.
“As a small company with less than 20 people serving companies as large as Amazon, we knew that we needed to build strong partnerships throughout the market and market to reach more companies,” said co -founder and chief executive of Praxis Labs, Elise Smith.
She and her co -founder, Heather Shen, met with Torch Heather Conklin’s CEO, as well as the two already working in the leadership development area.
“We had immediately hit, not only from our common values and mission, but also from how we aligned in what we needed to deal with the next general workforce,” Smith continued. “There has been a clear link and opportunity to connect coaching coaching and Torch’s organizational knowledge with the training, practice and evaluations of Praxis skills.”
Praxis Labs started in 2019 and worked with companies such as ebay, zoom, Amazon, Google and Target to build more fair and comprehensive workplaces through leadership training and skill ratings. It mainly secured a series of $ 15 million A back in 2021, making Smith one of the few black women at the moment raise more than $ 1 million in business funding. Investors in this round included Emerson Collective, Steph Curry Fund, Penny Jar Capital, Precursor Ventures and Ulu Ventures.
Smith and Shen will participate in Torch as head of AI development and head of the AI product, respectively. The Praxis team will also participate in Torch.
“Right now, every company and executive team is facing this central question: How will they prepare and manage this next generation of work with people and AI while maintaining the human connection necessary for the real workforce and transformation of the company?” he said.
“We are sure that integration into the Torch gives us the best opportunity to help companies solve this question at this critical moment.”
