Apple announced Powerbeats Pro 2 Earbuds on Tuesday. The new headphones arrive almost six years after achieving the original Powerbeats on the market. The new model maintains the well -known ear hook for workouts, while providing upgraded sound, better battery life and wireless charging case.

The headphones also mark a significant next step in the company’s attempt to expand the characteristics of healthcare, by adding built -in heart rate monitoring. The feature activates during workouts, offering real -time data through LED visual sensors.

In addition to the Apple Health Application, monitoring is compatible with a range of top fitness applications, such as open, Peloton, Runna, slopes, staircase, Nike Run Club and Yaoyao. One of the most popular applications on the run, Strava, is absent from the list.

Powerbeats are expanding an Apple health portfolio that rotates around the Apple Watch today. While elements such as steps monitoring have passed since the first days, Apple has gone through health. The clock now has ECG readings, fall detection, sleep monitoring and various other features aimed at providing a full image of the user’s health.

Apple’s Suite Health was further branched in 2024, with the addition of a feature headset for the Airpods Pro 2.

Apple’s brand headphones are also general lifestyle products, compared to the focus of Powerbeats’s fitness.

The new headphones have been upgraded by Apple’s W2 at H2 Chip, which made its Airpods Pro 2 debut in 2022. .

Apple mentions the privately owned silicon as a driving force in the improvements of battery life. The buds themselves exercise 10 hours of battery, compared to the nine of their predecessor. More impressive, however, that improves the overall battery life of the battery from 24 to 45 hours, a feat that the company manages, while reducing the imprint of the original Powerbeats Pro of bad mass affair.

Apple also has improvements to sound quality, thanks to the addition of spatial sound with head monitoring-the same noise cancellation found in Airpods Pro 2-and EQ adaptive technology, which adapts the sound quality that matches its ear. User.

The well -known ear hooks are now nickel athletic alloy for improved durability, while the total weight of the buds decreased by 20%.

Apple says it has examined the benefits of 1,000 athletes in an effort to create a more universal application. The headphones also fight with IPX4 sweat resistance rating – the same score found in Airpods. In addition to wireless charging, the headphones exchange the lightning port of their predecessor for the USB-C.

Powerbeats Pro 2 is available online starting today, price of $ 250 – same as their predecessors in 2019. They played the shelves of stores this Thursday, February 13th.

Apple has simply lost the Super Bowl in its announcement, but this does not prevent the company from spending a load on ads, with star athletes, such as LeBron James, Lionel Messi and Shohei Ohtani.
