Last month, Deezer referenced Its first positive cash flow in 2024, signaling an important milestone in its history. As the music flow platform approaches profitability, it begins new features to differentiate itself in the extremely competitive market.
On Wednesday, Deezer announced Several features aimed at providing listeners with a more personalized experience. These include an adaptable algorithm, monthly summary, universal share and much more.
Specifically, Deezer believes that his adapted algorithm will be distinguished, as listeners can fully adjust their recommendations without restriction.
Starting this month, users can manually adapt the recommended songs, playlists, albums and artists, fully controlling the Discovery Music experience.
While competitors such as Amazon music, Apple Music and YouTube music allow users to dislike or hide songs to reduce them from proposing, Deezer is taking this one step further, allowing users to completely exclude songs, artists or even entire lists of players.
Deezer also introduced a “controversy” button to mate with the existing “like” mode. Users can now express their disapproval of songs by pressing the heart symbol to cross, indicating to the algorithm that they do not want recommendations for this piece again.
Other new features aimed at enhancing adaptation include options for personalizing playlist covers by choosing from various colors and stickers, as well as adapting the favorite tab for the priority of albums or artists for easier access. These features are set to start next month.
Deezer also announced a new monthly recapitulation called “My Deezer Month”, which complements the annual wrap-up of “My Deezer Year”.
In early May, users will be able to see various monthly statistics, including the most acoustic songs, artists and genres, along with the disasters of their activity, such as comparisons of the total hearing of the previous month and the total hours spent in their first three species.
This is a provocative area for dealing with Deezer, as Spotify remains the platform for annual recapitals. Apple Music made the debut of a monthly version of the repetition characteristic last year, but it is not certain whether Deezer’s attempt can achieve the same level of popularity.
According to the company, there was a 30% increase in the use of “My Deezer Year” in early 2025.

In addition, Deezer announced a feature of Universal Sharing. When users share a song with friends, they take them to the Deezer website, where they can click on multiple links to services where the song is available, including Spotify and Apple Music. So, even if they don’t have a Deezer account, they can still hear the artist and enjoy the music.
The world sharing is launching in late April.
Although Deezer is on the edge of conversion of a profit, he also presented a slight dip in the subscribers, from 10 million in 2023 to 9.7 million in 2024.
