Google brings the AI model that creates a VEO 2 video to users paying for Gemini Advanced, the company’s AI plan.
Extension comes as Google tries to give an answer to Openai’s Sora generation platform and as competition in the field grows. Two weeks ago, one of the most terrible synthetic media companies, Runway, released the fourth generation of the video generator and brought more than $ 300 million to new funds.
Since Tuesday, Advanced Gemini subscribers will be able to select VEO 2 from the developing model menu in Google’s Gemini applications. Users can create eight seconds video clips in a 720p resolution of 16: 9 and upload these clips to Tiktok, YouTube and more via Gemini’s “Share” button. 2 VEO -created videos can also be downloaded as MP4 files, with waterproofing with Google’s SYNTHID technology.
There is a limit to how many videos users can create each month and Google’s business and business plans are not supported right now, the company says.
Google also incorporates VEO 2 with Whisk, an experimental trait in Google Labs that allows you to use images as prompts with Gemini to create new images. A new feature, whiskener animate, allows users to take pictures they have created and turn them into eight seconds, VEO 2 created. (Google Labs is Google’s Platform for early AI products, described behind Google One Premium’s Google One Premium.)
Google apps for VEO 2 may look quite basic at the moment. But Google Deepmind’s Managing Director Demis Hassabis recently said that the company is planning to finally combine the Gemini AI models with VEO to improve understanding the first natural world.
Meanwhile, many artists and creators are cautious about video generators such as VEO 2, who threaten to upgrade entire creative industries. 2024 study Assigned by The Animation Guild, a Union that represents Hollywood’s animators and cartoonists, estimates that over 100,000 American films, television and moving jobs will be disturbed by AI by 2026.
