Risky, non -filtered AI comrades can make headlines for the unexpected and often answers to the NSFW, but it is the last XAI model, which drives the revenue of the application late.
Elon Musk’s XAI launched Grok 4 late July 9 and by Friday July 11 Competence.
Grok continued to draw higher than usual revenue on the days that followed the start of the new model, with gross revenue of more than $ 367,000 for a few days before sinking to $ 310,000 on July 14.
In addition, the daily shots of the Grok iOS application had increased by 279% to 197,000 to July 11, from 52,000 before the start of Grok 4.
But after the addition of Grok’s AI comrades next week, July 14, the jumping on downloads and revenue was less intense. While the curiosity for comrades probably led more facilities, the feature is not yet ready to be an important moneymaker for the company, despite being only available to “Super Grok” subscribers who pay $ 30 a month.
Grok iOS shooting worldwide increased by 40% on the day the comrades began, reaching 171,000 daily facilities, but revenue increased only 9%, hitting $ 337,000.
Thus, while it is clear that there was an impact on launch, it is decisively smaller than the start of the new AI model.

Given the precise new Grok subscription offer, dating back to the launch of the Grok 4, it is not surprising that even a lesser increase in the number of payers it pays could drive Grok’s iOS iOS revenue significantly higher.
The company has announced that, in addition to Grok 4 and Grok 4 Heavy, it would also provide a $ 300 per month subscription called Supergrok Heavy, its most expensive plan to date. The project offers subscribers early access to Grok 4 heavy and other new features, Xai said, but is more expensive than comparable designs than other major AI providers, including Openai, Google and Anthropic.
It is interesting to see this request for Grok’s subscription plans, although AI initially advises Elon Musk’s X positions for answers. XAI has since dealt with this issue.

Interest in the new model also led to Grok’s ranking on the US App Store shortly after launching it, making Grok in the No. 3 in total and No. 2 in the productivity category until July 12th.
This interest has diminished somewhat last week – the application is now no. 17 In total – although it is still the No. 2 in productivity, they show the Appfigures data.
Appfigures notes that it has focused on iOS data for this resolution, as the data set is currently more complete than data from Android devices. The latter is only available until July 14 at the moment, as the Appfigures model needs more time to process Google Play data.
