Nearly a year after increasing a large $ 50m seed round, the Julie Bornstein Veteran Commerce Veteran Daydream It releases Chatbot that works with AI for shopping with emphasis on fashion.

After testing the product with selected users, the company releases Chatbot to all users on a public beta on Wednesday. People can register for Chatbot, which will ask for their name, date of birth, price range and brand preferences, if any.

You can type a question such as “I want a dress to wear to wedding this summer in Paris” or upload a picture and add more box through text to search for a clothing item.

Users can save any item in a collection that create or improve their search by typing in the Chatbot on the left side. If they like an item, but they want to modify certain aspects, such as colors or style, they can press the “Say More” button visible to any of the items to process the search.

Based on the parameters provided during boarding and the comments received by the application, it saves different information. Dreamer creates a style passport for those who leads a lot of suggestions. Your web application also shows you daily inspiration for objects and accessories that probably match your taste.

Currently, daydreaming does not have a complete payment flow, so when a user clicks on an item, they are redirected to a trader’s website to complete a transaction. Starting gets a cut percentage of each sale. Daydream said during launch, it has more than 8,000 chips on the platform, with the company boarding young traders at no cost.

Bornstein, who held executive positions in companies such as Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Sephora and Stitch Fix, said in the past year the company was working on technology to bring a list of different brands to one place and upgrade the search for AI.

“Having worked in e -commerce all my career, the search was always the forgotten kid and never worked very well. In some ways, people were trained to be very close to the way they are looking for anything in the fashion world and even with my previous launch,

“But as soon as the Chat GPT started, you know, consumers began to be trained about how to think about the potential of the exhortation. And so what we are trying to do is help you ask what you want to ask, if I have a chance, or I have the need or I am looking for it.

Maria Belousova, who joined the company this year as CTO, said that the daydreaming did a lot of work to understand the shades of objects in the list. He said that traditional search showed only items of buyers based on labels that match their keywords, which do not work in today’s world, where customers ask bigger questions.

“We do enough to understand the details of the product, such as the knowledge of stylistic features such as decorations, silhouette or even social features such as who will wear this dress, such as a bride or visitor to a wedding.

Over the next year, daydreaming will allow users to give the tool more explicit feedback, such as “don’t show me any four -inch heels”. It also plans to experiment with a feature that will allow users to request a good match with an existing element with personalized suggestions. In addition, it wants to support the aspect of social exchange, allowing users to share their stored items with friends and family for purchase suggestions. Another feature that the daydream is thinking is to get an existing collection of another user and modify it for his own needs using AI.

While the Daydream team has years of experience of e -commerce and focuses on fashion, newly formed businesses such as Deft and Cherry also create a multimodal shopping search. Meanwhile, technological giants such as Amazon and Google focus on features that use AI to search multiple websites and find the right item for users.
