Openai Upgrades Chatgpt Search With Purchasing Capabilities

Openai updates the Chatgpt search, the Chatgpt web search tool to give users an improved online shopping experience, the company announced on Monday.

When Chatgpt users are looking for products, Chatbot will now offer some recommendations, present images and reviews for these information and include direct links to websites where users can buy the products. Openai says users can ask extremely specific questions in the natural language and get customized results. To get started, Openai is experimenting with categories such as fashion, beauty, household goods and electronics.

Openai releases the GPT-4O (the default AI model for Chatgpt) on Monday for Chatgpt Pro, Plus and free users, as well as users recorded worldwide.

Chatgpt searching update is part of OpenAI’s effort to compete with the opponent of Google, creating a better, more personalized experience to find products and information online. Online purchases are one of Google’s most important companies, but the promotional market for the Priority Placement Market on Google Search has also contributed to the reduced product quality over the years.

Openai claims that the search product is growing at a speed. Users made more than a billion tissue searches in Chatgpt last week, the company told TechCrunch.

Openai says it independently defines the results of ChatGPT purchases and notes that ads are not part of this upgrade in Chatgpt search. The results of the markets will be based on structured metadata by third parties, such as pricing, product descriptions and reviews, according to Openai. The company will not receive a kickback from the purchases made through the Chatgpt search.

Openai Sam Altman’s chief executive was historically vs. Chatgpt ads but in a recent interview With Ben Thompson of Stratechery, he changed his melody slightly. Altman said it would be open to “elegant” advertising, in which Openai charges subsidiaries for purchases made through Chatgpt but do not sell priority in their results.

Soon, Openai says it will incorporate its memory with shopping for Pro and Plus users, which means that Chatgpt will report a user’s previous conversations to make extremely personalized product recommendations. The company previously informed ChatGPT in the reference memory when searching for tissue. However, these memory features will not be available to EU, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein users.

Along with this update, the Chatgpt search will now display voltage searches when users start typing a question, as well as the ability to automatically complete Google Search. In addition, the Chatgpt search has come to WhatsApp, allowing users to send a message to the company’s chatbot to get updated answers.

Openai has previously explored shopping functions via the AI ”Agent” platform, operator, which lasts anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes to browse dozens of websites and find relevant products for users. Chatgpt search with shopping is a faster, practical experience and still allows users to look for products using natural language questions.
