Forests are worth up to $150 trillion, according to the Boston Consulting Group, with much of the interest in them centered on carbon credits. This means that forests being maintained or restored must be monitored to make sure everything is working as planned. But that data is often unreliable and tedious to collect, leaving the door wide open for startups in the space.
