People often use multiple applications for notes, timetable management and to-dos. But why not combine All this in one application? This is the ethos back Heroan all-in-one productivity application with An assistant AI (of course!).
The iOS application was developed by former Meta Brad Kowalk and Seung W. Lee employees. They both met while working on Facebook stories, where Kowalk was the product manager and Lee was an engineer. Kowalk also worked on new AI experiences in the company by 2022.
“When we started working on a new project after working on Meta, we didn’t want to work on something that felt like helping people waste time. We really wanted to create something that helps people save time,” Kowalk said .
So far, the company has raised $ 4 million in seed funding by Instacart Max Mullen founder, Dropbox Arash Ferdowsi’s founder, Adobe Scott Belsky Strategy Officer, Meta Vice President of Messenger IMe Archibong, Chainsmokers Music Group of businesses, including the new and abstract.
Mullen, who met with Hero’s co -founders through another company he had invested, said he was impressed by the vision of the start.
“The hero had a clear vision of how he wanted to transform how people think about AI applications. I think many consumer applications will have vocal interfaces and assistants such as the hero, who is trying to make a daily application, So you don’t need multiple applications, “he told TechCrunch for a call.
Mullen said the hero would be useful for families and groups of friends, as they would not need to use so many applications to tune in to each other.
The app itself has a single screen where you can see the current day program, the weather, a list of To-DOS, a grocery list and your notes. In addition to the screen, you have a story-stresty-solid instagram that contains your program, news review and a daily excerpt.
You can add people such as friends, family or teammates to the calendar to see their schedule or even share tasks and notes with them. If they are in the application, they can also comment on anything, such as common events or to-dos. (At present, you can share a compulsory in a message -friendly form for people who are not in the application.)
You can also create an event, reminder, mark or add a grocery item through the built -in AI assistant. The assistant can answer your queries using Embarrassment AI, and you can save tissue searches as a note.
In addition, your assistant helps you create lists or notes. For example, you can title a note by saying “films like the challengers”, click on the proposed button and create a new list.
Kowalk believes that due to the increase in the number of AI tools available to humans, they will eventually not use different applications such as many calendar applications, reminders, notes and weather conditions.
“There will be two categories of applications in the near future. A blank conversation app like ChatGPT or Google Gemini and what shows your day. This app will bring your whole day to one place and work with friends and family You with a layer of information over it.
He points out that when using multiple applications, there is a chance that while changing applications, you forget what you meant to do and open Tiktok or YouTube. He also noted that couples – due to the characteristics of social coordination – and the people who have just finished college and are looking for a new productivity reception, are attracted to this application over things like Google Calendar.
The app is free and the company plans to keep it like that.
Currently, users can press the Instacart icon on the grocery list to search for all items and place an order. The company takes a cut from these transactions.
Kowalk said this is the area for revenue that the company wants to focus on progress.
The hero is currently working to improve voice interaction with an assistant, building a tracker and targets, and a feature for adding events, to-dos and notes from an image or screenshot.
