Spotify on Wednesday announced an update In its application designed to give users more control of the listening experience and their recommendations. The refreshed experience introduces a handful of new features that will be gradually released to highlight users and premium subscribers, including features that will help you manage your tail, current listening experience, playlist creation and much more.
Changes help to balance an application that often lean largely into algorithmic recommendations to suggest and play music and give users the power to shape what it plays, when and how often.
For Premium users, Spotify’s tail has been renewed. The new design provides easier access to controls such as Shuffle, Smart Shuffle, Repear and Sleep Timer, the company says. Smart Shuffle and Autoplay can also be completely disabled by Spotify settings if preferred.
In addition, premium subscribers will begin to see the pieces that recommend Spotify to play after their tracks so they can choose in advance what it gets to stay in their tail.
When you hear a song that you are not available to your playlist, you can press a refreshed hiding button that is now more intuitively positioned, Spotify claims. The button will hide the piece in the playlist on all devices. However, the company will soon introduce another stronger version of “Hide” with the start of a new 30 -day postponement that will temporarily remove a piece of your recommendations.
The company also introduces features to improve the management of playlist for mobile. At the top of your lists, you will now find the add -ons adding, editing and sorting that allow you to add tracks, change the title or art of the playlist and organize the song sequence, respectively.
Listeners in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the US will be able to use their songs they like to create a playlist after the first filtering with the genre and then use the new choice to “make it”.

Other dose music tools have also been relocated. Now users can press the Create button on the bottom right of the mobile app to access tools to create play lists, work together on play lists and participate in a mixture (a playlist that combines two people with two people with songs that will enjoy both songs).
Premium subscribers, meanwhile, can press the creation button to access the newer Playlist AI feature and jam, a real -time listening session where many people can contribute to a common tail.
As a result of the changes, Spotify has relocated your Library tab to be the third option at the bottom of the mobile app.
