The yarns, the Meta competitor on X, now has its own hidden words that operates separately from Instagram. The feature allows you to filter posts containing words, phrases or emojis that you don’t want to see in foods, search, profiles and answers.
Previously, the hidden words were linked to Instagram, so that the filters you entered would be applied to both platforms. Now you can create a separate list of hidden words on topics to further personalize the content you see on the platform without influenced what you see on Instagram.
The yarns have also announced that you can now set time limits for filters in cases where you do not want to permanently exclude certain words, phrases or emojis. You have the option to now set the filters to expire within 30 days as a way to “postpone” them until you want to see the relevant posts in the app.
For example, this setting could be useful in situations where you are not trapped in a TV show and you do not want to watch spoilers in your flow, but you want to finally see seats related to the TV show at a later spot when you are trapped.
The traffic comes two weeks after the social network began to try out an incoming DM that is separate from the users’ inbox DM Instagram. Today’s announcement and updates on immediate messages suggest that Meta can work to make the threads more than an independent service outside of Instagram.
As the issues continue to take over, the social network has released numerous features every month. More recently, the company has begun the opportunity for users to see publications from other users in Fediverse in a special flow and look for Fediverse users directly on topics.
The platform also tests the spoiler text and now allows creators to use their profiles to share links and click the track.
