Instagram yarns, META’s newest social network and competitor X, are officially relocation from threads.net website to threads.com. The transition will coincide with a handful of quality life improvements for the application of Web Webs, including features for easier access to custom supplies, stored seats and sympathetic, as well as other tools for creating new columns, copying positions for rearrangement, finding your favorite creators from X.

Meta initially launched its new social implementation in July 2023 at URL Threads.net, as the alternative alternative startup by sequoia owned threads.com at that time. (This boot was sold to Shopify last year.)

In September 2024, Meta acquired the name Domain Threads.com and later began to redirect url threads.com to threads.net.

Starting today, Meta explains that users will no longer be redirected from .com to .net. Will be the reverse.

Going forward if you type threads.com to your browser, you will go straight to the home screen of your threads without redirecting. In the meantime, those who type threads.net will be redirected to url threads.com.

Change gives Meta a more prominent and better URL for its social application, now reaching over 320 million monthly active users, from Meta’s latest public profit announcement in January. The kind of species can allow the application to compete better with X’s opponent, who also has an unforgettable (and simple!) Domain Name.

In addition to this change, Instagram leader Adam Mosseri announced on Thursday some other small updates coming to the Web Webs application, which is often used by creators.

He said that users will now see their customized flows appear in the web application in the same order as their appearance in the mobile application. In addition, users will now be able to access their positions they like and store through the main menu instead of having to create a nailed column to see them.

Another new addition allows users to copy a yarn post as a picture instead of having to screenshot. This will facilitate the sharing of yarn positions in other applications, such as Instagram, Meta thinks.

The yarns that users will also now be able to add a column by clicking a new column icon on the right side of the screen.

And will be able to click on a “+” button in the lower right to open a new window and compose a post.

There is also a new feature that allows people to find and follow the same creators who followed in X. This feature was introduced Earlier this month and works with users to download a record of their X data, which is uploaded to yarn.

Those who had previously accessed the feature showed a pop-up by saying that they could now “find popular creators from X.” The feature remains in tests, says Meta.
