Livestreaming Service Twitch, which belongs to Amazon, announced the annual TwitchCon event earlier this year Move to the vertical video space. Now these initial alpha tests have been made live with a few films, according to findings from the market information provider Appsensa.
In a recent construction, the company found references to vertical video tests and information on the type of features of these new flows. The feature, once fully released, would make Twitch more competitive with other popular vertical video services such as Tiktok, Instagram RELL and YouTube shorts.
Twitch tests are not widespread at this point, as Appsensa’s survey found only a handful of references to the application code that said the tests would focus on “few movies” at present. (Could not identify which.) The business was also able to locate a vertical theater function with special user interface elements and a way of swapping between classic and new Twitch video forms.
When users meet the operation for the first time, they will be presented with user training dialogues that say “vertical video is here” and reminds users that it is still just a test and can go to classic views at any time.
Appsensa also noted that the current application involves handling of rights for both camera access and microphone access, as required by mobile platforms, indicating that the app would be used for Livestreams.
He returned for comments, Twitch refused to say more about the tests, noting only that the company said during keynote On TwitchCon Rotterdam earlier this year he will start trying with a small number of channels during the summer. One spokesman added that these tests will be extended to more users later in the year.
During TwitchCon, the company announced that it would also try the double form flow and 2K with a small number of channels.
