Delta Skymiles members in the United States can now start gaining points when leading Uber or delivery through Uber Eats as part of a recently released exclusive cooperation between the two companies.
The Delta commitment is designed to further align the driving giant with the Airport Travel, which historically has a lucrative part for Uber. Ride-Hailing also announced plans on Tuesday to expand the new affordable airport product in Atlanta after successful launches in New York.
Uber Airport games come at a time when market uncertainty, lower consumer confidence and increased border control drive many Americans Pull back travel expenses this year.
Perhaps this uncertainty means that now, more than ever, customers who understand prices have to find ways to play the system. Uber customers who joined the waiting directory will be able to connect their accounts by starting Tuesday and everyone else can start on Thursday.
Here is the way Uber users with Delta Skymiles members can gather miles as soon as they connect their accounts:
- Uber eats: 1 mile per dollar spent on orders over $ 40.
- Airport walks: 1 mile per dollar spent on Uberx rides to and from airports.
- High quality rides: 2 miles per dollar spent on Uber comfort or Uber Black.
- Uber Reserve: 3 miles per dollar spent on ubers detention in advance.
Uber riders cannot be stacked miles, maintaining a walk at the airport, but a Uber spokesman said the customer would take the Skymiles from the journey that gives the highest reward.
In addition to the ability to gather miles, Uber and Delta are integrated in other ways. Customers who buy a flight using the Delta Fly app will be able to stick to a Uber Reserve reservation so they can maintain their ride to and from the airport. And later this year, Skymiles connected to WiFi on their flights will receive a 30% offer to close a Uber for pickup when landing.
