Venmo and PayPal – two of the most popular applications for digital money mission to friends, family or business – have never been registered. But according to Venmo, this is changing in November.
“Venmo users and PayPal users will be able to pay each other in the US and around the world,” Venmo writes in an email to customers. “This means that PayPal users will be able to find and pay you using your phone number and later using your email address.”
For years, customers have used complicated solutions for the transfer of money between the services. This has long been a pain point for users, especially because Venmo belongs to Paypal, leading users to believe that this kind of feature would already exist. (Perhaps the integration of the two services will discourage users from creating accounts on both platforms, discouragement of Paypal to be able to be able to get this feature earlier.)
This change means that PayPal users will now be able to find Venmo users by entering their phone numbers and later their email addresses. If you do not want Paypal users to find you, you can update your Settings to the Venmo application by navigating the Settings> Protection Data> Find with … and while you are in it, perhaps your Venmo transactions in private settings> protect privacy. You will thank me in the long run.
Paypal announced that it would do it expands its network of payments in July, starting with Venmo, but companies have not confirmed the date of information so far. This collection of corporate relationships, which PayPal has called PayPal World, will also work with Mercado Pago, NPCI International Payments Limited and Tenpay Global. This will help users send money internationally without obstacles and fees.
Combined, Venmo and PayPal have 2 billion worldwide users, according to PayPal.
