Hello and welcome back Equitya podcast about the business of startups, where we unpack the numbers and nuances behind the headlines.
Dang, we’re approaching the new year! And that means it’s time to dust off an Equity tradition that stretches back many years: our predictions episode!
As we try every year, we brought in a lot of voices to make sure we covered enough ground. We also went back and checked our predictions from last year, in case you wanted to see how good we were!
This time we have Alex Wilhelm, Mary Ann Azevedo, Kirsten Korosech and Becca Szkutak — the people you listened to the most on the podcast this year! (A big thanks to Theresa Loconsolo for getting the whole gang together!)
We’ve grouped our predictions into a few categories: startup trends, media, proptech, AI and transportation. Mary Ann expects the venture to continue to see fewer people involved, Alex wanted to talk about AI at the operating system level, Becca had media notes, and Kirsten made some predictions about the future of self-driving cars.
We’ve had other topics mixed in, so grab your headphones and get ready for some Hot Takes, yeah?
And that wraps up Equity for 2023. We recorded about 150 episodes, racked up seven figures in downloads, had tons of streams and more. But most importantly, we need to spend time with you. Thank you and kisses from all of us. See you in the new year.
