Semiconducor Giant Intel Corporation has already received $ 2.2 billion in federal grants by the US Department of Commerce through US brands and science law, the company was shared during the profits of Thursday.

Dave Zinsner, CEO of Intel, Executive Vice -President, and CFO, said the Silicon Valley -based company received the first dose of $ 1.1 billion in federal grants in the late 2024 of 2025.

These grants are based on the achievement of certain landmarks, Zinsner added. Another $ 5.66 billion dollars have not yet been scattered.

The company received a total of $ 7.86 billion in federal grants for the construction of semiconductors in the US in November under the US Ministry of Commerce’s US chips law. While a large amount, this set was less than the initial estimate of $ 8.5 billion.

When Intel was awarded the subsidy money in November, the company said it was planning to set funds for construction and advanced packaging or techniques for assembling and integrating multiple semiconductor chips into a package. This will take place in Intel facilities throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio and Oregon.

The US brands and science law was signed in federal law by former President Joe Biden in 2022 in an attempt to increase the construction of domestic semiconductors. The law is promoted $ 52 billion in subsidies for manufacturers of domestic chips.

While already two years old, ACT is facing some uncertainty in the context of Trump’s administration. If the federal funding of President Donald Trump, which is currently obstructed by a federal judge, will come into force, would affect the employees of the trading department focusing on the chips law, according to Bloomberg report.

But Zinsner had a prospect of Rosier. When asked by an analyst, he said that Intel has already contacted Trump’s administration and “feels really good” about the promotion of the administration for the production of semiconductors returning to the United States.

“We look forward to continuous commitment with Trump’s administration as we promote this project and support their efforts to strengthen US technology and leadership manufacturing,” Zinsner said earlier.
