An intrinsic application of pornography for iOS comes to the EU through approved applications alternative Dudemade possible by Europe’s digital markets law (DMA). Monday, Altstore announced the launch of HydromassageA battery that offers iOS users a way of searching and playing video from a variety of adult websites such as Pornhub, Xvideos, XNXX and Xhamster.

Although it has always been possible to browse the web, including porn websites, from the iPhone web browser, DMA allows application developers to release iPhone and iPad applications through alternative markets in the EU.

These alternative App Store publishers can make decisions on the types of applications they will allow, including those who will otherwise run from Apple’s App Store instructions.

As Apple explains to a support documentThese applications still have to pass through a Notary Procedure for fulfilling “Standard Stands of Base Platform”. But Apple warns, alternative app stores can choose to publish non -evaluated applications that may include things such as pornography, drugs and alcohol, weapons, hate speech and much more.

Altstore claims that the approval of the application for the Hot Tub is the first to go through the notary process to be approved for distribution on the iPhone. Despite the nature of the content, the company says they had no problem getting the approved app, although this is likely because Apple has often used pornography as example From the type of application they now have to allow under the DMA.

According to Altstore developer Riley Testut, the company will use the new opportunity to donate Patreon’s profits to challenge sex workers and others to the LGBTQ+ community during February, including Trevor and Red Umbrella Fund .

“We believe this is necessary to compensate for recent harmful policies by politicians, meta and others and encourage everyone to help. However, you can,” Altstore’s account communal in positions of social media.

THE Apply a hydromassage was developed by an independent programmer passing C1d3rAnd who was previously active on the Jailbreak scene. (Jailbreaking is the act of splitting through Apple’s built -in security protectors to install non -approved applications on the iPhone.)

The application is itself as an inherent alternative to porn websites that protects users from ads, trackers and pop-ups spammy. The app also has a built -in search, gestures, customized controls and features only for subscriptions, such as advanced search, filtering and multiple networks.

Apple has questioned how Altstore traded the release of Hot Tub as “Apple Approved” as the App Store alternative applications do not go through a application review process. The company also pointed out that Altstore is supported by Epic Games, the manufacturer Fortnite who sued Apple on antitrust law.

A statement issued by Apple reads:

“We are deeply worried about the safety risks created by hard -core applications of this type of EU users, especially children. This application and others, such as this, will undermine consumer confidence and confidence in our ecosystem that we have worked for More than a decade to do the best in the world. European Commission to allow it to be distributed by market exploitation bodies such as Altstore and Epic that may not share our concerns about user safety. “

Was updated after the publication to include Apple’s response.
