Mistral, the company sometimes considered Europe’s great hope for AIreleases several updates to AI’s assistant, Le chat. In addition to a significant tissue interface upgrade, the company releases an application for mobile iOS and Android.

As a reminder, Mistral develops its own large linguistic models. Company’s iconic models such as Mistral or its multimodal model Pixtral bigThey are available for commercial use through an API or Cloud partner, such as Azure Ai Studio, Amazon Bedrock and Google’s Vertex AI. It also releases certain open weight models under Apache 2.0.

Mistral hopes to be placed as a reliable alternative to Openai or Anthropic. In addition to developing foundation models, Le Cat’s assistant competes directly with Chatgpt, Claude, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot.

Mistral finally releases a mobile version of the assistant to compete better for a coveted spot on your home screen. The mobile app has the usual chatbot interface. You can ask Mistral’s AI model and ask tracking questions in a simple conversation.

In recent months, Le Chat has evolved to become a capable AI assistant. In November 2024Mistral added support for tissue search with reports. It also allows you to create images or interact with free -form canvas to edit text or code in a separate window.

More recently, the company has signed a wide agreement with the Agency-Presse (AFP) news agency (AFP) with a reliable supply of information. However, there is no voice function in the Mistral mobile app for speech -based people to ask AI assistants.

With today’s update to Le Chat, Mistral also introduces a Pro Tier for $ 14.99 a month or € 14.99 a month in Europe. While the company no longer mentions the exact AI model it uses beneath the hood, it says the Pro plan comes with access to the “higher performance model”, indicating that free accounts do not have access to the top -the line model.

Other benefits include higher limits across the boat and the ability to leave your data sharing with the Mistral-The company brings the payment model or concentrate to AI assistants.

Up to 1,000 words per second

What makes Mistral stand out? The company does not claim to have better models than competition. But he claims that, in terms of product, he can sometimes overcome his competitors.

For example, Mistral reports that Le Chat runs on “the fastest conclusions on the planet” and can answer up to 1,000 words per second. In our use, it really felt faster than Chatgpt’s 4o model.

Mistral also claims to produce much better images than chatgpt or grok. The reason why the Mistral performs well on this front is that it is based on Black Forest Labs Flux Ultra, one of the leading image -producing models.

These are fine features, but one of the main distinctive factors comes with Le Chat’s Enterprise solution. Mistral allows you to develop Le Chat in your environment with custom models and a custom user environment.

If you work in defense or banking, you may need to be able to develop an AI assistant on condition. This is not currently possible with Chatgpt Enterprise or Claude Enterprise. This will help when it comes to developing the company’s revenue.

But first, let’s see if the Mistral mobile app can persuade some AI lovers to try his chatbot. From this writing, Chatgpt, Deepseek and Google Gemini hold #2, #3 and #6 points, respectively, among the Most iPhone applications In the USA
