The company has confirmed growth in TechCrunch, explaining the idea is to provide accessible and accessible tools for creating Audiobook, which could otherwise cost much more to produce in a studio.

The platform itself aims to compete with Audible, who believes that Elevenlabs offers lower rates of rights for writers. According to its model, Elevenlabs’ Audiobooks will be offered in its own app Reader and the company will pay authors when users deal with their content.

Currently, it pays about $ 1.10 to authors when listeners deal with an Audiobook for 11 minutes or more.

Elevenlabs said the average user spent 19 minutes listening to the published books in its application during the test phase. While starting believes that these rates are one of the best in the industry, they could still change as the scales of the program.

During the launch, the payment is offered to authors in the US and for titles for English only. Later, it aims to extend payments to titles in the 32 languages it supports for Audiobooks.

The company also plans to create a market where the authors can sell their content.

The biggest opportunity for Elevenlabs includes writers and publishers who create headphones using AI technology through paid designs ranging from $ 11 to $ 330 per month. This is less expensive than studio booking time and the payment of vocal actors.

In particular, Elevenlabs has already supplied other audio platforms such as Pocket FM and Kuku FM to convert the text into audio content.

The company’s move to make a publication and distribution surface to accommodate more indie content is in accordance with the CEO of Elevenlabs Mati Staniszewski to extend to more consumer experiences.
