The infamous Internet 4chan Forum was hacked on Tuesday.

At the time of writing, the 4chan website was not loaded and users on social media reported that the site was intermittent for hours.

The messages in an opponent messaging table, which TechCrunch has seen, celebrated the hack, with a person claiming that the hacker responsible for the breach were within the 4chan system “for more than a year”.

Several screenshots showing what seems to be the rear end of the 4chan released online, showing the supposed rear, source code and website standards to ban users, which would only be accessible to website coordinators. There was also a list of leakage data there was a list of supposed 4chan and “Jainitors” coordinators, who are users who can delete posts and issues, but have fewer privileges than the coordinators who can also see users’ IP addresses.

Given the well-known violent political ties of the 4chan, this cyberspace could possibly expose the people who manage these forums, which have become centrally for the alt-theight movements.

TechCrunch arrived at various e -mail addresses that leak and talked to one of the people behind one of the e -mail addresses. A Janitor 4chan who spoke with TechCrunch with the state of anonymity said they were “sure” that the leakage and screenshots are “all really”.

“I have no reason to believe differently,” Janitor said.

“I am a bit back. The 4chan moderation team has leaks in the past, but this is obviously a bigger issue,” Janitor told TechCrunch. “I’m not happy about the situation. I’m sure most others are not, but many of us have done it for a long time. Doxxing is a long -term hobby at 4chan and the likelihood of being exposed was always there.”

“I have been more involved in leakage information, for obvious reasons,” Janitor said. “I had bet that the fact that the 4chan was effectively undertaken by a hacker is probably worse than snapshots, at least from the perspective of the continuing operation of the site.”

The foreman also said that the hacker appears to have received the personal information of the 4chan Pass subscribers, who are users who pay the site to bypass the meters after accessing a VIP Board, per The Janitor.

4Chan did not respond to an email requesting a comment sent to the email address of the press.

4chan is an apparently anonymous internet forum that functions like the dark submarine of the tissue. Most of the time, it is a picture board that seems to be complemented by bored users trying to shock each other often by posting some of the most bad content they can imagine. Other times, 4chan cultural exports are leaking into the real world as harmless mimics or as a hate rhetoric that inspires right terrorism.

Mimids such as Pepe the frog; comic book; wojaks Initially they spread to 4chan, but became ubiquitous throughout the internet. However, the strongest 4chan heritage comes from its political councils, where Alt Rhetoric can radicalize new users to adopt white ideals of defenders. Qanon, a group of far -right theoretical conspiracy supporting President Donald Trump, comes from 4chan.

The shooter who in 2019 murdered 51 people in two mosques in New Zealand Christchurch was A regular 4chan user Since he was a teenager. In 2022, an 18 -year -old man then We murdered 10 black people in a grocery store in Buffalo, New York. The 180 -page manifesto was borrowed from Christchurch’s electronic rhetoric.
