Doordash asked a California supreme judge to reject a lawsuit filed by Uber accusing food delivery company for the competition, intimidating restaurant owners in exclusive agreements.
Doordash supports his proposal that Uber’s claim is of no value on all fronts. In a post on her website On Friday, Doordash said: “The lawsuit is nothing more than a cynical and calculated tactic of terrorism by a frustrated competitor who seeks to avoid real competition.
In his place, Doordash added that he would “defend” strongly and place the company as the one that “competes strongly but justly to provide excellent value to traders”.
A hearing is set for July 11 at the California Supreme Court in San Francisco County.
Uber filed his lawsuit against Doordash in February. The giant, who has been riding a alleged Doordash, which holds the largest share of the US distribution market, threatens restaurants with many millions of dollars or removing or downgrading business positions in the Doordash application.
Uber responded to Doordash request to a statement sent to TechCrunch.
“It seems that the Doordash team has a hard time understanding the content of our complaint,” Uber’s online statement said. “When restaurants are forced to choose between unfair terms or retaliation, this is not competition – it is forced.” Uber will continue to withstand traders and for an equal limit.
Uber requested trial in her original complaint. The company has not specified the amount of damage it is seeking.
Separate, Deliveroo confirmed Friday that Doordash was offered to buy the European Food Delivery Company for $ 3.6 billion.
