Alltrails, the hiking and cycling companion named iPhone app of 2023, begins a new participation in the premium called “Peak” that includes an upgraded set of features. This $ 80 subscription will introduce AI tools to build custom routes, real -time route forecasts, heat -travelers and a feature that allows you to locate trees and plants using your phone camera.
The new option will be released initially in the coming weeks to select members and will be available worldwide to all users by June. Alltrails users can register Early access to her website.
A long -term popular application for outdoor lovers, Alltrails increased a $ 150 million growth round in 2021, when the Covid pandemic saw people rekindle their relationship with nature amidst locks and social removal measures.
Unfortunately for the company, Apple has entered the Alltrails market just before the name of the app of the year by adding support for topographic maps with trails, contour lines, hill shading, lifting profits and much more on the US Maps in the US next year, Apple has violated even more, national parks and other trails out
The latest Alltrails update, then, can be regarded as the company that struggles with a selection of features aimed at its most dedicated and active members.
The new feature powered by AI at the top of participation, for example, allows users to create the ideal path either by starting from scratch or adjusting the existing paths. Smart functionality uses AI to change a path, making it smaller, less sharp or even “more graphic”, among other things.
The new route conditions they provide will provide information on temperature, rainfall, snow depth and much more, essentially placing a weather application in alltrails. There are also notifications of things such as air quality and mosquito activity. A later update will add territories and ground conditions, such as pavement, gravel or mud.

The added Heatmap option can help hikers and cyclists who hate to get full of trails, as well as those who prefer a multitude of safety purposes, such as when you hike alone. To work, access to the application to millions of activity for its users provides traffic data to make estimates, similar to which Google maps use data to predict when a store, restaurant, bar or other space is the most “busy”.

This summer, Peak members will also access an outdoor lens feature, which allows them to immediately identify a tree, a plant or flower and to record it in the application. Over time, more recognition features will be added to the lens, the company notes.

In addition to the Peak launch, Alltrails releases updates on the base and subscriptions.
The base is the free offer of the company with trails maps, community reviews and navigation, while PLUS adds off -connection access, incorrect turn alerts, 3D path previews and sharing live paths.
Both will receive a feature called Points of interest, which add over 500,000 mapped views, milestones and amenities of routes to the application. In addition, subscribers, meanwhile, will also obtain a feature called offline, which allows them to download a customized area for offline exploration that includes high resolution maps and other details.
