After months of rumors, Meta has was officially announced The next pair of smart glasses with Oakley. Smart glasses have twice as long as post-acne battery life and are able to capture 3K videos. The models are based on Oakley’s HSTN design (pronounced “How-Stehn”) and are described as “Meta’s first product for athletes and fans”.

The Oakley Meta Hstn limited edition model with golden color costs costs $ 499 and will be available for pre -order on July 11. The rest of the collection starts at $ 399 and falls later this summer, says Meta.

The glasses have a front camera, along with speakers and open ear microphones. You can use the glasses to listen to music, take photos and make and receive calls.

The glasses also have Meta AI, allowing you to ask questions on the go, such as “hey meta, how strong is the wind today?” or “hey meta, get a video.” In addition, you can ask Meta AI for what you see and also translate the languages.

Oakley Meta Hstn glasses can last up to eight hours with standard use and up to 19 hours in standby mode. You can also charge them up to 50% in 20 minutes. In addition, the glasses come with a charging case that can deliver up to 48 hours of charge on the go.

The glasses are available in six frames and colored lenses: warm gray with ruby ​​lenses, black with polar black lenses, brown tobacco with deep water lenses, black with amethyst lenses, pure gray lenses and black with clear lenses. All of this is compatible with recipes for an extra cost. Some pairs come with Oakley Prizm Lens technology, which makes it easier to see in different lighting and weather conditions, helping you see more and perform at your climax, Meta says.

Oakley Meta Hstn will be available in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Meta plans to start them in Mexico, India and the United Arab Emirates later this year.

Meta reports that the new glasses are the last chapter of a multi-year partnership with Essilorluxottica, the parent company Oakley, Ray-Bans and other glasses. Post-Actins have sold over two million pairs to date, according to Essilorluxottica’s FY2024 Financial Results.
