Mukesh Ambani, India’s richest man and president of Reliance Industries, has revealed an ambitious plan to build the country’s spine through a new subsidiary – starting with strategic partnerships with Google Cloud and Meta.

During the 48th annual general meeting of the company on Friday, Ambani launched a new business called Reliance Intelligence, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. The new business aims to create an AI national -scale infrastructure, including tools and business services for various sectors. The move comes as India seems to cover the AI World Race dominated by the US and China.

“Reliance Intelligence will create a home for world -class researchers, engineers, designers and product manufacturers, combining the speed of research with the rigor of engineering,” Ambani said in its central position, “so that ideas can become innovations and applications, providing solutions to India and India.”

To start things, Reliance has collaborated with Google – one of the most important technology partners – to create a dedicated AI cloud infrastructure in India. The network will start with an important Jamnagar data center, a city in the western state of Gujarat.

The dedicated cloud area will allow Reliance to offer services focusing on AI on businesses of all sizes, developers and government bodies, using its Jio network and its own energy assets to support large applications, companies said in their joint statement.

“As Reliance’s largest public partnership, Google Cloud not only feeds on the consignment of the mission for the mission, but we are also innovating with you for AI advanced initiatives,” said Google Sundar Pichai’s CEO in a video during the company’s virtual AGM. “This is just the beginning.”

Google did not immediately answer a question about the financial terms of the corporate relationship.

Reliance has also announced a joint venture with Meta, another of its most important technological investors, the construction and scale of AI solutions for India customers and the selection of international markets. According to the agreement, Reliance and Meta have committed a combined investment of $ 8.55 billion (about $ 100 million) under 70:30 ownership, respectively.

The corporate relationship will offer META’s AI Platform-A-A-Service, allowing businesses to adapt, develop and manage AI genetic models for use in all sales, marketing, computer science, customer service and funding. The consortium will also provide a series of pre-formed AI solutions, companies said.

Reliance’s collaboration comes just weeks after Meta’s restructuring in a new Superintelligence workshop, powered by a costly range of top AI hires. (Reportedly, Meta has ceased leasing out after concern by shareholders.)

“Through this consortium, we put Meta’s Llama models into real use,” Meta Mark Zuckerberg CEO said in a prepared statement.

The transaction is subject to ordinary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Reliance plans to expand beyond India and get its subsidiary, Reliance Jio platforms in international markets, Ambani said. Ambani also revealed that Jio aims to submit for an initial public offer in the first half of 2026, after many provision and initial delays.

Trust is also Reportedly, cooperation with Openaiwhich recently introduced the under-$ 5 ChatGpt subscription to India and announced its plans to create an office in New Delhi later this year. The details of the partnership are likely to be announced during Sam Altman’s upcoming visit to India next month, two people who are familiar with the issue at TechCrunch.

Reliance and Openai did not respond immediately to a request for comments.

Earlier this year, Reliance Bharti Airtel’s opponent, the country’s second -largest Telco after Jio, worked with Pulplexity to offer more than 360 million Airtel subscribers access to the Proplexity Pro for 12 months.

Trust has He has already worked with Microsoft to offer the Azure Cloud platform to Indian businesses. The company also offers Jioaicloud, a service that focuses on consumers providing 100GB of free storage. The Cloud Consumer has been used by 40 million users and is updated with vocal search support and an AI Create Hub to convert photos into wheels, collages and promo, the company announced to its annual General Assembly.

Reliance also presented its smart glasses, Jioframes, in response to Snap glasses and post-meter-ban. Similarly, the company incorporates AI into its streaming platform, Jiohotstar, which has attracted over 600 million users and 300 million subscribers who pay three months since its release in February.

The new AI features include the “Riya” voice assistant and the translation of content into Indian languages using LIP cloning and synchronization technologies.
