Tesla's 4th "general Plan" Reads Like Nonsense Produced By Llm

Tesla has published The fourth “Master Plan”, and at a high level, is how the company wants to lead the category to the adoption of humanoid robots and sustainable energy.

But the position does not have an important design building block: details.

Even Managing Director Elon Musk agrees. In one of its only seats About the plan since it was published on Monday – sandwiches between a fixed current transphobia and migration Panic – agreed that it was fair to criticize the lack of details and said the company would add more.

Who knows when will this happen? But right now, unlike previous positions of the General Plan, this is flexible, general and reads as someone threw points speaking from Musk and “Abundant brothers“In Chatgpt and published the result. (If it were Grok, it’s one of the most benign positions ever created by Ai Chatbot.)

The suspension is filled with suggestions that are heard as a child mimicry of the college speech, such as: “The trademark of meritocracy creates opportunities that allow each person to use their skills to achieve what they imagine”.

Why are you so unclear? Perhaps it is because Tesla has not yet completed all her goals from the second general plan, published until 2016 or in its third in 2023.

This second plan also concerned the huge swings, but it was specific to its ambitions. First, Musk wrote that Tesla would “create a smoothly complete and beautiful solar-roof-with-battery product that operates exactly” and “scale all over the world”. Tesla has a solar roof product, but is infected with problems, many times redesigned and has not reached a real scale in the US, let alone around the world.

(Musk used this part of General Plan 2 to justify Tesla’s recent offer to acquire Solarcity, a racing company run by his cousins. Tesla spent years in court defending the acquisition and eventually prevailed.)

On the side of the vehicle, Musk promised to draw a compact SUV, Semitruck, Pickup and an electric bus on the market. Tesla finished the first part of this with the Y model, which has proven to be extremely popular. But Tesla Semi is still ongoing, Cybertruck has failed to reach its own sales goals, and the company has not expanded beyond these factors in anything that looks like a bus.

The last two peaks of the second overall plan were to fully make Teslas completely autonomous through software upgrading and allow owners to add or remove them to a large, common network. None of these goals have been achieved.

The company is testing a small Robotaxi service only for an invitation to Austin, Texas, but cars have all the security screens leading to the front passenger seat. And Tesla has gone through multiple material reviews over the last nine years that, by his own entrance to MuskIt probably means that a huge number of cars already on the road have not, as promised, have the right technology to become fully autonomous. (The first and second main designs have been removed from the Tesla website as part of a larger cleaning.)

The Master Plan 3 concerned the use of Tesla as a glittering example to convince the world that a sustainable economy is possible. Again, quite big! But Tesla went so deep in the details that a released one 41 -page white paper that supports the views of. The company and the world have, almost by definition, have not achieved much of those included in this document. Meanwhile, Musk spent $ 300 million to help elect a president who is actively struggling in the adoption of cleaner, cheaper, sustainable energy.

Musk has spent the last few years trying to redefine Tesla. It is not a car industry, it is a AI company and robotics, he says repeatedly. There is some truth in this, though it does not change the fact that the vast majority of the company’s revenue is still coming from the (increasingly cruel) activity of manufacturing and selling electric vehicles.

The belief that Tesla will complete this transition is a huge driver of its stock price, so it is beneficial for the company to lean way to the idea. So, of course, the Master Plan 4 is spacious.

But Tesla used to support these ambitions with goals and reference points that could be measured. And Musk is at least used essay to support the case. He wrote the first two plans and spent four hours in a scene with other executives diving in the details of the most professional third edition.

This time, Tesla’s “Master Plan” was published on a federal holiday and its chief executive passed the day that was spreading fear for marginalized people.
