Apple announced on Wednesday that Applecare One, a new monthly $ 19.99 subscription plan, including coverage for up to three products. Customers can choose to add protection for more devices for $ 5.99 per month.

So far, people had to register with Apple devices in separate Applecare+ designs if they wanted additional coverage for their products beyond the standard warranty. Now, the company offers full coverage.

Applecare One includes all the benefits of Applecare+, including unlimited repairs for accidents such as drops or leaks, 24/7 support from Apple experts and battery coverage. Applecare One adds theft and protection against iPhone to also cover the iPad and Apple Watch.

For the first time, Apple allows customers to add Applecare coverage to the Apple products they already own. With the new subscription plan, customers can add most products up to 4 years if they are in good shape. To verify that a device is in “good condition”, it may be forced to undergo a diagnostic test using the customer’s iPhone or iPad or an Apple store before being added to the design.

“Applecare One Tricing is itself regardless of the products covered, which means that a customer can subscribe to the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch and save up to $ 11 a month by registering with separate Applecare+ designs for each device,” Apple explained in a press release.

This means that if one buys Applecare when buying a new MacBook Pro and adds the iPhone to the design, they will save money without having two separate Applecare+designs. In addition, they will be even more valuable if they include another device, such as an Apple Watch.

Only the devices on the customer’s Apple account can be covered in Applecare One, says Apple.

For users who just want protection for a device, Apple says they can continue to register for Applecare+. The technological giant also points out that the new theft and loss for Apple Watch and the iPad will not only be part of Applecare but also available as part of Applecare+ for customers who want to cover a single iPad or Apple Watch.

Applecare One is available since Thursday in the United States. Consumers can register for Applecare directly on iPhone, iPad or Mac or visit an Apple store.
