Amazon Web Services (AWS) launches an AI AG AIS market next week and Anthropic is one of its partners, TechCrunch has learned exclusively.
The AWS Agent Marketplace launch will be held at the AWS Summit in New York on July 15, two people familiar with growth, they told TechCrunch. AWS and Anthropic did not respond to requests for comments.
AI agents are ubiquitous today. And every investor in Silicon Valley is refreshing for newly formed companies that make them – even if there is any disagreement about what an AI agent. The term is somewhat ambiguous and is used loose to describe computer programs that can make decisions and perform duties independently, such as interaction with software, using an AI model in the backend.
Behemoths AI like Openai and Anthropic promote it as the next big thing in technology. However, the distribution of AI representatives is a challenge, as most companies offer in silo. AWS seems to take a step to deal with this with its new move.
The market for special representatives of the company will allow new businesses to directly offer AI agents to AWS customers. The market will also allow business customers to navigate, install and search AI agents based on their requirements from a single location, a source said.
This could give anthropogenic – and other AWS Agent Marketplace partners – a major boost.
Anthropic, which has already supported Amazon and reportedly is according to Another investment of many billions of dollars By the e -commerce company, sees the future of AI mainly in terms of agents – At least for the coming years. Anthropogenic manufactures AI agents at home and Allows developers to create them using their API.
The AWS market would help humanity reach more customers, including those who may already be used by AI agents from its opponents, such as Openai. Anthropic’s involvement in the market could also attract more developers to use API to create more factors and eventually increase its revenue. The company already Hit $ 3 billion in annual revenue at the end of May.
Like any other online market, AWS will get a cut of revenue earned by newly established businesses from the agent’s premises. However, this share will be minimal compared to market potential to unlock new revenue flows and attract customers.
The market model will allow newly established businesses to charge customers for agents. The structure is similar to the way a market can invoice SAAS offers instead of combining them into broader services, one of the sources said.
Amazon is not the first technical giant to offer a market for agents. In April, Google Cloud introduced a AI Agent Marketplace To help developers and businesses record, buy and sell AI agents. Microsoft also introduced a similar offer, called AgentsIn Microsoft 365 Copilot a month later. Similarly, business software providers, including Sales and ServerThey have their own purchases.
Taking this, we have not yet seen how successful these markets are for smaller newly established AI companies and businesses looking for specific AI agents.
