With the launch of the new Pixel 10 series, Google has rushed in front of Apple to deliver smartphones with AI to consumers. The devices, announced during Google’s Wednesday event, come just a few weeks ahead of the expected revelation of Apple’s iPhone 17, which promises to be more than the same – better cameras, possibly thinner devices and new colors to choose from.
Google, meanwhile, quickly incorporates AI’s platform on its devices.
Last year, the Pixel 9 series added a series of AI features, such as Gemini Live (Mode Voice’s Voice), image creation tools, calls, screenshots and much more. Since then, Google says Gemini’s live talks have been shown to be 5 times larger than text -based conversations.
This year, the technological giant launches even more upgrades with AI with the release of Pixel 10, including a feature Visual Overlays for the camera, a pre -operative “Magic Cue”, camera coach, voice translation for calls, an assistant “Take A Message”, Pixel Journe and more.
In conjunction, updates allow Google to present what its latest AI technology can do when reinforced by the Tensor G5 processor, an upgrade to the company’s custom designed for AI experiences and the first to perform the newest Gemini Nano model.
Along with launch, Google has announced that Gemini Live will win a new sound model that will detect your tone – as if you are excited or worried – and adjust its response accordingly.

By adding a feature called Visual Overlays, Gemini Live will be able to see what you see through your camera lens and provide guidance by highlighting things on your screen. For example, while traveling to a foreign country, you could keep your phone to see if the signs of the road are offered information about the parking lot along the road.

Another new feature, Magic Cue, allows AI to be more energetic, offering real -time suggestions, applications such as gmail, calendar, messages, screenshots and more.
The idea of a more energetic interaction between people and Google technology is something that the company has dreamed of for years, long before the AI era. In early 2010, for example, Google introduced an Android feature called Google Now that will show real -time cards with information about your daily schedule or time of day, such as nearby restaurants at noon, upcoming meetings or flight details.
Years later, the Magic Cue is to reintroduce this feature, but where it enters your daily applications and interactions.

Google has shown how the Magic Cue could suggest a restaurant to dine with a friend, offering quick access to make a call to the restaurant to book. Could suggest an answer to your friend with the booking details or show you in your calendar to check your availability.
Magic Cue’s suggestions appear in the application you use and are wrapped in a rainbow contour to differentiate them, as well as in the Daily Hub, a personalized daily digestion in your animal. You can also press his sentences to take action.

Also similar to Google now, the Magic Cue will be able to superficial reminders. But it goes one step further, emerging reminders and notifications more intuitively. For example, it may remind you of the things you need to handle, such as a return of an online order, suggest issues that you may want to research or propose new playlists.
During the launch, Magic Cue’s suggestions will be limited to selected activities, such as setting up a tab, adding events to your calendar, and the appearance of forecast for an upcoming Weather application trip. Over time, Google will add other options and allow you to configure which source of data.
Apple, it should be noted, is trying to do something similar, allowing users to talk to Siri to interact and take action on their applications, but unfortunately, the AI -operated Siri is delayed by 2026.
Another of the most interesting additions of the Pixel 10 series is the camera coach, an AI assistant who aims to make you a better photographer.

The feature will start in the preview with new devices and uses Gemini models to offer suggestions on how to make the best frames and compositions of your shot. You can even choose a “Get Inspired” option that will recommend scenes you may not have examined.

In addition, the camera will now be able to recognize when you take a group photo. The “Auto Best Take” feature activates and analyzes up to 150 images shot for several seconds to find the best – whether it is a shot that has taken yourself or one by mixing others together through AI.

Then, with the “Askat Photos” tool, you can edit the plan to do other things, such as correcting the lighting, changing the frame or removing an object from the photo, either by talking or with AI photo stigma.
On Pro devices, the Pro Res Zoom option will also use AI to allow you to “zoom” in things such as architecture and landscapes in 30x-60x or 30x-60x for animals and wildlife.

About the enhanced use of AI in the photo, Pixel 10 phones will also be the first to apply C2PAA standard that defines the origin and processes of digital content, which will help identify when the photos have been modified by AI.
Another new AI feature, Voice Translate, will use AI to translate your phone call in real time to what sounds like the voice of each speaker. This could be a potential player change player, especially for business users and travelers of the world, if it works and as described. (This must still be tested by reviewers, of course.)

The feature will be translated from or from English and Spanish, German, Japanese, French, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Russian and Indonesian.
In Pixel’s phone app, a new addition called Take A Message provides real -time transfers for lost and reduced calls and then uses AI to determine the next steps you need to take on the basal mail’s voicemail. (This update will also come to the notes.)

The Pixel Journal, meanwhile, is Google’s answer to Apple app, but the one used by AI to ask you to share your thoughts, track your progress towards goals and offer information over time.

Other AI upgrades to Pixel 10 Lineup include writing tools integrated on the Gboard keyboard, pixel screenshots updates in Pixel Studio, and LMBOOK LM integration with recorder and screenshots.
