Google I/O, the largest conference of Google of the year, is almost upon us.

Scheduled for May 20 to 21 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, I/O will present products from Google’s entire Google portfolio. Expect many news about Android, Chrome, Google Search, YouTube and-of course-Google’s Google Chatbot, Gemini.

Earlier this week, Google hosted a special event dedicated to Android: The Android Show. The company has announced new ways to find lost Android phones and other objects, additional device features for the advanced protection program, safety tools for fraud and theft and a new design language called Material 3 Expressive.

Here’s what else you can expect.

Gemini and AI

AI is the Tech Du Jour, and Google, like its opponents, has invested in it.

A shoo-in for I/o is a new addition (or enough) to the flagship of Google Gemini Family of AI models. Leaks In recent weeks they have indicated that an up -to -date Gemini Ultra model is on the way, Gemini Ultra is Google’s top Gemini offer.

With this upgraded Gemini Ultra, a more expensive gemini subscription can come.

Google offers a single level of high quality, Gemini Advanced ($ 20 a month), to unlock additional capabilities in Gemini Chatbot, powered by the company’s Gemini models. But Google can soon start two new plans, Premium Plus and Premium Pro. It is not yet clear what benefits could be linked and how these plans could be priced in relation to Gemini Advanced.

Google will almost definitely talk about Astra, its widespread effort to build AI applications and “agents” for real -time real -time understanding. Also, probably on the agenda is Mariner Project, Google AI’s “agents” who can browse and take action across the web on behalf of the user. Peoples in x spotted References to “Use Computers” in the Code for the Google AI Studio programmer platform, which could concern Mariner.

Anything else

Going from the official I/O program, Google will have a lot to discuss after Android Show and I/O Keynote.

The program lists the sessions dedicated to Chrome and Google Cloud, Google Play (Android App Store), Android Development Tools and Gemma, Google’s “Open” Models collection.

Last year, Google presented some surprises on AI-THEMED on I/O, including a set of models that are perfect for educational applications called Learnlm. An upgrade to Notebooklm that creates Google’s viral podcast could be such a surprise. Leakage It reveals a “video review” tool that would probably create video summaries, probably utilizing Google’s VEO 2 video creation model.

Updated: 3:19 pm Pacific: A list of new Android features announced during the Android demonstration was added.
